ACSM Mid-Atlantic Chapter
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (MARC-ACSM) is a diverse group of professionals and students dedicated to the advancement of sports medicine and exercise science. We serve members in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.
The chapter seeks to communicate scientific information, provide a forum for research, foster professional peer interaction and support career growth.

MARC-ACSM Executive Board Elections – Make Your Voice Count!
The MARC-ACSM Executive Board elections are underway! This is an opportunity for eligible members to help shape the future leadership and direction of our Chapter. We encourage you to review the candidates and their biographies and cast your vote.
Voting Eligibility: Professional MARC-ACSM members and Fellows of ACSM who are Chapter members in good standing are eligible to vote and should have received a link to vote in their email.
Voting Deadline: October 30th 2026

Introducing the MARC-ACSM Education Webinar Series – Call for 2027 Proposals!
MARC-ACSM is excited to announce the launch of its Education Webinar Series, a new initiative designed to promote student education, professional development, and year-round engagement among our members.
Beginning in January 2027, MARC-ACSM will host four free educational webinars annually, featuring research methodologies, professional development, and innovative teaching practices in exercise science and sports medicine.
We are now accepting proposals for our inaugural 2027 webinars! We particularly encourage submissions that highlight practical research methods, emerging technologies, professional development strategies, and evidence-based teaching approaches.
Key Details:
First Webinars: January 29 and March 12, 2027 (tentative)
Format: Virtual, 12:00–1:00 PM ET
Eligibility: Lead presenters must be current MARC-ACSM members. Students may participate as co-presenters.
Proposal Deadline: December 10, 2026
